So What are Traffic Patterns ?

In this sample lesson we'll go over how you would go about learning traffic patterns before going up and flying them for real in the aircraft.

This example provides information which you would find in your book and a segment of video on how to fly a traffic pattern around an airport.

Left hand traffic patterns are the standard pattern used for approaching an airport to land. While they are the standard, there are exceptions. Right hand patterns may be called for for a variety of reasons. A controller at a controlled field may also ask you to skip one part or all of the pattern.

Please note that the actual CD/DVD video quality is much higher than you will see in this example
