When you go on an Intro Flight with AAoA, you will go flying with one of our instructors who will let you explore being the pilot of an aircraft. You can participate as much or as little as you'd like on this first flight, although we encourage everyone to ask questions and enjoy a hands-on flight. Most people are surprised to find that they are actually the ones flying the aircraft on their own by the end of this first flight! You will be taken through the basics of checking the aircraft to make sure that it is safe to fly, communicating with Air Traffic Control (ATC), taxiing the aircraft to the runway, taking off, doing gentle turns, climbs and descents, and then finally landing the aircraft. You will be able to log the flight time from your Intro Flight toward your training requirements!
