Once complete, the student is prepared for his first aviation job, as a flight instructor at the Austin Academy of Aviation.  Proficient in all of our aircraft, the newly certified flight instructor will be prepared to take on students of all levels, and will begin building time quickly in both our single engine and multiengine aircraft.

*Cost shown is the approximate cost of flight training and study materials at Austin Academy of Aviation.  FAA designated pilot examiners are independent contractors, and their fee ranges from $300 to $450 depending on the examiner available at the time of the practical test, and the type of practical test requested.

**All flight training is charged at a per hour rate, and it is impossible to predict exactly how much training will cost.  Variables such as aptitude and interruptions to the flight training, both within and outside the student’s control, can cause the price to fluctuate greatly.   This cost represents a realistic approximation of the cost of flight training.  IT IS NOT THE MINIMUM, nor the maximum cost of flight training.
